Can you tell me where and how to change the currency to NZD as this is what I want to work in.

I have a similar requirement in that I need to work with AUD.

You can modify the default currency by following these steps:
1. Go into the admin section for the subscription module.
2. If you do not see a paypal gateway on the list of installed gateways, you should add a gateway.
3. Once you have added the paypal gateway, you can customise it:
Paypal Account Name - enter the name of your paypal account.
Country Code - enter NZ
Currency [USD, GBP, JPY, CAD, EUR] - enter NZD
Paypal Post URL - if you are working with the paypal sandbox, enter https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr. If you want to connect to your live paypal account, enter https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr
