Secure Downloads

We've added a few features to the MyDownloads Module for XOOPS.

Features:
  • Assign XOOPS groups to downloads - pick which user groups have access to downloads
  • Download link pushes file to user - anti-leeching enhancement.

Files must be located in a directory not accessible by your web server.

Installation Notes:
You must change the following constant in ./language/x_lang/main.php:

define("_MD_FILEPATH", "/tmp")

to the path where your downloadable files exist.

When creating files for download, in the Download URL field, simply put the file name. No path is necessary.
